Horseback riding trekking with sleeping in a yurt
Description
In the saddle of the Leventina Western horses, you will discover the mountain area of the Leventina.
Your trekking tour: The 5h route will be determined individually, especially as we will decide where the horses will graze. At least 3 days in advance we will let you know if this is in Osco, Tarnolgio or Carì. (10 min ride difference)
We then ride towards the mountain path to Brusada up to an altitude of 2,100 metres. On the way we have a picnic break as well as on the way back the next morning.
On arrival at Alpe Pian Cavallo, an aperitif with organic Swiss cheese from the Marachiei farm awaits you, as well as the magical atmosphere of a yurt (traditional Mongolian tent)
Your tour includes:
- Trekking with the Leventina Western horses.
- Overnight stay in the yurt
- Packed lunch on both days with homemade products from the Marachiei farm
- evening meal
- Breakfast with homemade products from the Marachiei farm
If the weather is fine, you can book a nostalgic warm bath (Kässi) under the starry sky heated up until 20:00 separately. We serve an aperitif with wine and Bio Suisse cheese from the Marachiei farm for the bathers. The Kässi has room for up to 6 adults and many a person jumps into the warm water in the morning,... (can be booked up to 1 day in advance).
Start and duration: 10:40 - next morning flexible get up and have breakfast and ride the 5h back with the horses of the Leventina Western.
Equipment: We can provide you with a helmet free of charge. We also recommend good shoes and warm clothes as it can get quite fresh in the mountains even in summer. You should also bring a warm sleeping bag, torch and towels.
Requirements: Good riding experience is required for this trek.
Group size: minimum 2 people - max 6. We are happy to take children from the age of 12 with riding experience.
Languages: We speak German, Italian, English and a little French.
