The Verzasca Valley and its wonderful waters
Description
Let’s discover the Verzasca valley, one of the most beautiful in the southern Alps, with its magnificent turquoise river. Isolated for centuries due to the difficult access, we can imagine today just how hard life here must have been for its inhabitants in the past and appreciate the beautiful rural architecture that has remained intact to this day. After meeting the guide, who will accompany us throughout the experience and tell us about the region, at Sant’Antonino station, we will set off in a private minibus to discover an agricultural business on the Magadino plain, La Colombera farm run by Tessa Tognetti, where we will have the opportunity to taste their delicious products as part of a rich aperitif. Once in the valley, we will stop to admire the famous Verzasca dam (one of the highest in the world) and the Ponte dei Salti bridge. We will then continue to Gerra Verzasca, where a water sommelier will treat us to a very special and perhaps surprising experience. A refreshing moment before returning to S. Antonino station.
Included in the price: private minibus, bilingual guide, rich aperitif of local products, 1 glass of wine, water, apple juice, visit to Frasco mill, exclusive water tasting with Switzerland’s first water sommelier.
