Azienda Agricola Marachiei - Leventina Western / Bauernhof Marachiei
Description
In 2002, the project for the Marachiei farm took shape. About 3 km outside the village of Osco is the new barn with free and animal-friendly stalls, automatic hay drying and mechanical barn cleaning.
The organic mountain farm is located in the Leventina valley at an altitude of 1100 to 1600 metres above sea level and has 50% organic land.
On the farm there are 120 goats for cheese and meat production and 8 horses for rides (horseback riding, trekking and lessons).
We also have herding dogs which, unlike guard dogs, stay in the barn and live with the people and not in close contact with the livestock. They only work with the herd when they have to catch up with them or lead them to pasture, and they follow the shepherd's commands.
In Pian Cavallo, at 2100 m above sea level, there is an alp with cheese production that can only be reached on foot in 1.5 hours from Carì di Dentro to the left of the ski slopes and the Bel Vedere restaurant in the direction of Predelp, or in 1.5 hours via the path into the Predelp valley in the direction of Carì 2000. You can spend the night in a Mongolian yurt and have a delicious breakfast with the farm products.

Horse riding is closed from the middle of December to the middle of January.
