The Airolo-Pesciüm ski area is located at the foot of the Gotthard massif, one of the most important Alpine crossings, in the heart of the Alps. Pesciüm is a vast natural panoramic terrace that towers above the village of Airolo. Thanks to the modern cable car, visitors can be transported daily and effortlessly up to the Sasso della Boggia at 2065 meters above sea level. The alpine landscape offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Gotthard, the Bedretto Valley and the Leventina Valley.

Something for everyone

The ski area offers over 30 kilometers of pistes at an altitude of between 1175 and 2250 m above sea level and thus attracts all winter sports enthusiasts: Skiers, snowboarders and snow tourers. The area offers 3 types of slopes and thus meets the needs of beginners, intermediates and experts. Those who prefer to take it easy can enjoy over 10 km of snowshoe hiking trails and enjoy the relaxing silence and the view of the rugged nature of the surrounding mountains.

Convenient arrival

Travel in comfort on the Gotthard panoramic route with the Treno Gottardo. A shuttle bus awaits you at Airolo station during the season to take you to the valley station. If you don't want to carry all your ski equipment with you, the Swiss Ski and Snowboard School Airolo offers an excellent rental service.

In February 2020, two new black runs were inaugurated, dedicated to the two great ski champions who had their first skiing experiences on the snow of Airolo-Pesciüm: Doris De Agostini and Michela Figini.

The "La Stüa" restaurant, which was completely renovated at the end of 2019, is now the flagship restaurant in the ski area. It offers a daily hot menu with local produce, prepared in a simple and refined way to bring out the flavors of Ticino's culinary tradition. On sunny days, you can also enjoy the new large terrace.

In summer, Pesciüm is the ideal starting point for many hikes and is also becoming increasingly popular as a destination for bikers and cyclists looking for fun or an adrenaline rush.

  • In Airolo-Pesciüm, a swing has been installed from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view and take unforgettable photos! The swing is located on the Sasso della Boggia.
