Nara

The ski area of Nara is nestled in a wide, sunny valley basin that lies between 400 and 2200 meters above Leontica in the Blenio Valley. Nara is the ideal vacation destination for everyone - whether skiers, snowboarders, children and families, beginners or professionals.

The toboggan run, the only one of its kind in Ticino and a real attraction in the village, winds its way over 5 km and 480 vertical meters - from Pian Nara to Cancorì - between snow-covered slopes and magnificent coniferous forests. If the snow conditions allow, you can extend the descent by a further 5 km to Leontica.

Versatile winter sports

Nara is not just for classic skiing! You can also go paragliding, telemark skiing and snowshoeing. The ski area consists of 30 km of ski slopes, 5 km of toboggan runs, 7 km of winter hiking trails and a snow park with jumps and rails. The ideal starting point for reaching numerous peaks from which you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Blenio Valley, the Leventina and the entire Alpine arc.

From Cancorì there are 20 km of snow-covered trails that can be covered in complete safety, offering a magnificent view of the Blenio Valley and its mountains in the heart of the Alps. Accompanied excursions with a certified guide can be organized on request.

The refreshment stops complete the offer: the restaurant "La Pernice" and "La Giunta Aprez Sci" in Cancurì (1,450 m above sea level), the "Pela Bar" at 1,760 m above sea level, "il Barc" at 1,900 m above sea level and the "Nara Beach Skibar" at 2,120 m above sea level. There is also the "Tipi", an Indian tent near Pianezza.

Insider tip

• Two swings have been set up in the Nara region from where you can enjoy breathtaking views and take unforgettable photos! The first swing (Swing 1) takes 40 minutes to reach on foot from Cancorì, while the second (Swing 2) takes 50 minutes. The total height difference of the path, which is also suitable for children, is 225 meters.
